How PCT Chemie generated 5x more specifications

PCT Chemie is a market-leading manufacturer of screed additives. As a specialist in a niche market, the business needed to find a way to reach specifiers more effectively and demonstrate the value of its product range.

Making the most of NBS

PCT Chemie uses the product data platform NBS Source to generate specifications and identify practices actively looking for products in its niche.

Initially, the team took a more hands-off approach to managing PCT Chemie’s product data in NBS Source. But following system reviews and meetings, developed a greater understanding of PCT’s goals. So Jack took a more proactive approach to managing their profile and working more closely with the NBS team to produce high-quality BIM objects; results skyrocketed – with specifications increasing month by month, resulting in a five-fold total increase. 

"If we had one piece of advice for other manufacturers, it would be to take advantage of the expertise the NBS team offers and collaborate more proactively with them," Jack said. 

"We developed BIM internally, and whilst it was functional, it was not exactly what we required. So further collaboration with NBS took our BIM offering to the level expected from specifiers and contractors."

"We would have saved time and money if we took this approach sooner and probably generated more specifications".
