We caught up with Boon Edam, who have been with NBS for over ten years, to find out a little more about their products and why they joined NBS.
Boon Edam Limited was formed back in 1985 as the first international subsidiary of Royal Boon Edam International B.V. Now employing more than 1400 individuals worldwide, the Dutch-born company has built up an impressive global distribution network from humble beginnings. We caught up with Ian Goldsmith its Head of Sales to find out a little more about who they are, what they do and why they’ve been with NBS for over ten years!
Here’s what Ian had to say… At Boon Edam we sell, manage projects, and install and service hundreds of revolving doors and security entrance products each year for a diverse and well-known client base. We operate across a multitude of sectors, working with various clients such as architects, contractors, multinationals, and building facade and security subcontractors – to name but a few.
We are a market-leading business, that includes subsidiaries in over 20 countries, with three major manufacturing facilities based in the Netherlands, China and the USA, along with authorised distributors in over 50 other countries. Our United Kingdom subsidiary operates throughout Britain, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man; our head office is located in Ashford, Kent.
We joined the NBS platform over ten years ago now. At that moment in time, we had also investigated other BIM-hosting platforms and quickly concluded that we’d be heavily investing in NBS. Our decision was based on the support available from account managers and the broad coverage that the platform offered in terms of marketing our products. Now, in 2020, we could not be happier with the level of product development happening at NBS. They continue to innovatively develop their platforms to stay abreast with customers’ needs, and we rank it the number one platform for specifiers. We still use the platform to serve our architectural customers to the best of our abilities, with all possible information being available at their fingertips via the platform. NBS can truly be the starting point for more detailed discussions with potential clients via our highly trained and experienced specification managers.
Despite already having an established sales and marketing department at Boon Edam Limited, we couldn’t not take advantage of the NBS platform. We learned very early on that it is essential to populate your company pages with the most up-to-date information as possible, and ensure that the data quality is high.
